No maximum driver age
Drivers are eligible for coverage, irrespective of their age, if they are licenced under their state’s licencing rules.
New for old replacement
If your new car is a total loss, we will replace your car and pay the associated on-road costs.
Towing and storage
After an incident, we will pay the reasonable cost of towing and storing your car at a repairer or place of safety.
Emergency repairs
We cover up to $500 for emergency repairs arising from an incident.
Hire car after theft
If your car is stolen, we will cover a hire car for up to 14 days, up to a daily rate of $50 per day.
Unbraked trailer and caravan
We’ll pay $500 towards damages or losses caused to your unbraked trailer or caravan towed by your car.
Ambulance after accident
This additional service provided with your insurance policy covers the cost of an ambulance after an accident.
Funeral and death benefit
We will pay the estate $5,000 if a listed driver passes away as a direct result of an incident.
Choice of agreed value
You choose how much to insure your car for, giving you peace of mind if your car is written off.
Choice of standard excess
Tailor your policy by selecting your standard excess. A higher excess will lower your premium.
Pay annually or monthly
We offer the flexibility to pay your premium upfront or by the month.
14 day cooling off period
If you cancel your policy within 14 days and haven’t made a claim, you are entitled to a full refund.

Compulsory third party insurance, or CTP, protects the driver of a motor vehicle from financial liability in the event they were to cause injury or death to others in a motor vehicle accident.  Third parties include other drivers, passengers, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians.  CTP covers their treatment and care, which may be for life.  It may also cover other things like loss of income and any damages.  CTP cover varies by state.  Some states allow you to choose your own insurance provider, others do not. You need CTP insurance to register a motor vehicle in Australia.

For more information about the CTP scheme and who you can purchase your CTP from, please speak to your local motor vehicle registry.   Currently, TrueCover does not provide CTP insurance.  If you would like more information, please call us on 1300 800 900.

At TrueCover, you will need to declare the main driver on the policy, being the person that will drive the car the most.  You can choose which other drivers are listed on the policy.  One of the benefits of listing additional drivers is that it may make the claims process simpler, faster and cheaper, by avoiding additional excesses.
